QM is a voluntary, non-prescriptive and adaptable resource for institutions. We rely on research-centered standards and practices to provide guidance on quality. Our approach and guidance is fully agnostic to institution type and educational level as well as discipline, degree, curriculum, and course content. In our K-12 program, for example, many online courses are reviewed in direct alignment to approved and published state standards.
Focused on Quality, Not Content
There are many ways to meet QM Standards and instructors are asked to take the student perspective in applying those standards to their courses, rather than be restricted to a cookie-cutter or prescriptive approach to online course design. The course review process is laser-focused on digital learning quality, with evidence of its broad and non-discriminatory approach found in the courses that have received certification. QM Certification can be found on courses as varied as:
- Bible Literature: New Testament Ideas & Influence
- Advanced Food and Beverage Operations
- Art History
- Microbiology
- Introduction to Special Education; Sports law
- Cybersecurity operations
- Quantitative Data Analysis in Leadership Research
- Advanced OSHA for Dental Professionals
- 4th grade math
